In the fifth inning of Friday's Padres-Dodgers game, a Puig fan proposed to his partner at the ballpark, so Vin Scully called it:
"A big moment in two people's lives … 'Will you be my engagement partner?' She said yes, the ring on her finger and it's a delightful moment."
Not fiancées -- engagement partners. If you're going to propose, getting Scully to narrate it is pret-ty good. Particularly because he'll end with a joke:
"For some reason I thought of the old joke about the young secretary…"
