Wade Davis' wife left her server a World Series ticket as a tip

Davis' wife leaves server World Series tix as tip

If you've been on the internet in the past few years, you've probably heard stories about folks who leave their restaurant servers some pretty lame tips. Here's the exact opposite of those stories.

On Tuesday afternoon, Royals pitcher Wade Davis' wife was hanging out at Rock & Brews in Overland Park. When it came time to pay her bill, she opted to leave something a bit unconventional as a gratuity:

A World Series ticket.

"He came back into the office and said, 'do you guys mind if I have the night off?' And we looked at him, and he showed us the ticket he had in his hand. And we were blown away ourselves that he was able to have that given to him tonight. So we definitely accommodated him and let him have the night off to go celebrate with all the fans at the game tonight."

Yeah, there are worse tips to get than a free ticket to Game 1 of the World Series.
