The Cubs and Nationals played through a dense Chicago fog
A deep fog rolled into Wrigley Field during Thursday's Nationals-Cubs game. Announcers, players, managers and even vendors felt its affects:
But the Cubs, who've played under these conditions before, used the weather to their advantage -- particularly on this routine fly ball triple by Luis Valbuena in the sixth inning. Denard Span was lost.
Like really, really lost.
The Cubs won 5-3, proving that unlike in the movies, it's possible to be friends with THE FOG.
