Watch George Springer make a game-saving, grand slam-robbing catch

Springer makes grand slam-robbing catch

The Astros-Rangers game had hit the 10-inning mark on Sunday. They were tied at 4. Rangers outfielder Leonys Martin, perhaps worried about missing the premiere of Game of Thrones, felt it was time to go home -- so he crushed a long fly ball to the right-field wall. It had the distance and speed, but it forgot to take into account George Springer:

Springer, probably: "Game of Thrones??!! How about Game of Home Run Robberies?! How about that? Do you watch that one, Leonys??!!

Seriously though, a clutch catch by Springer and some bad luck for Martin.

"It was one of those things it got hit and I just kind of had a bead on it and could tell it was starting to come down and just got close to the wall and jumped," Springer said, according to MLB.com's Brian McTaggart.

The Astros ended up winning the game 6-4 in 14 innings and we hope everyone got to watch Game of Thrones, VEEP, Red Sox-Yankees and the MTV Movie Awards. George Springer deserves an MTV Movie Award.
