Wei-Yin Chen is just chillin', might as well snag this comebacker in ALDS Game 2
The postseason is when the nerves rattle loudest, but you wouldn't be able to tell by watching Wei-Yin Chen flash the leather.
Chen had tossed 2 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball and surrendered a lone hit to Miguel Cabrera when Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler came to the plate for his second at-bat of Game 2 of the ALDS. Kinsler lined a Chen pitch right back toward the mound and Chen coolly hung his glove out there to make the snag.
It was very "show's over, nothing to see here" of him. Unfortunately, there was plenty to see in the fourth as Chen allowed five earned runs. Of course, an eighth-inning double from Delmon Young later lifted the O's to a 7-6 victory and 2-0 series lead.
