Westport Little League team visits Yankee Stadium

Although the Westport, Conn. Little League team lost in the Little League World Series United States finals, the team received quite the consolation prize.

On Sunday, they were invited by the Yankees to take in their afternoon affair with the Red Sox. What the boys didn't know was they would be invited on the field to meet the Yankees when the Bombers took the field.

"When they were told they would be taking the field with the Yanks, the boys were smiling, nervous, excited, everything they could possibly feel they were feeling," head coach Tim Rogers said.

In addition to taking the field with the Yanks, the Westport boys got to meet many of the players and get autographs. Surely a day that these kids will never forget.
