When wind swept trash onto the field, the White Sox grounds crew flashed the leather

Why is Chicago called the Windy City? Just ask members of U.S. Cellular Field's grounds crew.

During Saturday's matinee against the Mariners, swirling winds reached nearly 30 miles per hour. As debris flew from the stands onto the field, the grounds crew scoured the turf during breaks in action to collect the rubbish.

While many people involved with the White Sox organization are excellent defenders, these guys usually aren't expected to make a great play in the outfield. Thankfully, they cleared the trash and the White Sox beat the Mariners, 4-3.
