Yasiel Puig homers, gives mini bat-flip, is looking very much like Yasiel Puig right now

Yasiel Puig homers, delivers mini bat-flip

At the beginning of the 2015 season, Yasiel Puig made a promise that he would cut down on his bat flips. The news was horrifying to much of the population -- causing hunger strikes, war and bloggers to hoard all of the Puig bat-flipping GIFs ever GIF'd into one secure place. Strangely enough (or perhaps, not), Puig's numbers during the first half of the season were a bit subpar. He missed some time due to injury, hit four homers with 14 RBIs and slashed at a .198/.239/.372 clip during the month of July.

But over his last 10 games, Puig has Puig'd like the Yasiel Puig that we used to know. He has three home runs, nine RBIs and has put up a .967 OPS. And after a two-run home run in the Dodgers' 7-4 win over the Reds on Wednesday night, he gave us a glimmer of what we've been missing for the last five months. It's not quite maestro-level, but it's a flip all the same:

Maybe it's the Dodgers urgent push for the postseason or maybe it's the launch of his new adorable plush toy? Either way, it's fun to see.
