Happy one-year MLB anniversary to Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig

Here is your year in Yasiel Puig

On this day in 1965, Edward White became the first American to walk in space. In 2008, Barack Obama clinched the Democratic presidential nomination. It's even the day "Casey at the Bat" was first published, all the way back in 1888.

But all of that was merely prologue. On this day in 2013, outfielder Yasiel Puig made his debut with the Dodgers:

To celebrate, let's take a look back at the year in Puig

After his call up, Puig and fellow Dodgers international sensation Hyun-Jin Ryu quickly became the best of friends:

And Yasiel showed off his Quidditch-ready defense:

He went to a local Little League practice, just because:

He showed us how comfortable he is on the basepaths:

And he helped the Dodgers clinch the 2013 division title (and celebrated in style):

He also fine-tuned his multi-sport skills -- like soccer:

And cricket

And even virtual baseball:

Puig became a bobblehead

And of course, he taught a master class in the art of the bat flip

In the words of Vin Scully, "Viva Puig!"

Happy Puig Day! May we all have many more.
