Seattle Mariners pitcher Marco Gonzales is celebrating his first Father's Day with his soon-to-be one-year-old daughter this season. Since the birth of Grace, the left-hander has seen his outlook change as he discusses fatherhood often with his father, former Minor League journeyman Frank Gonzales.

Trailblazing broadcaster Melanie Newman took time to reflect on her late father and the impact he had on her life and career path this Father's Day. “He always had a quiet presence. He wasn’t loud or over the top,” Newman said of her dad. “I think he had small moments of quiet appreciation and pride. … He always expected the best for both me and my sister."

After welcoming a son, Ethan, during Spring Training this year, Gleyber Torres said he felt the weight of new parenthood, sensing increased responsibility to perform for his family. Torres said that he received encouragement from many of his teammates -- manager Aaron Boone offered one tip that stuck with the new father as he tries to be with his infant son.

Giants reliever Tyler Rogers became a first-time dad after he and his wife, Jennifer, welcomed their son, Jack Ryan Rogers, on April 12. Jack's arrival capped an emotional 24 hours for Rogers, who faced off against his twin brother, Taylor, for the first time in the Majors at Oracle Park the previous night.

Stanek will be celebrating his first Father’s Day on Sunday following the birth of his and wife Jessica’s daughter, Joelle, on Sept. 21, 2021. Stanek said becoming a father has given him a new perspective on life and baseball.
