Crisis Text Line
- The nonprofit organization provides free, confidential, 24/7 high quality text-based mental health support and crisis intervention service.
- Crisis Text Line serves texters who are in emotional distress from under 13 to 65 and over -- that’s basically supporting anyone in their moments of need.
- Crisis Text Line has trained over 59,000 volunteer Crisis Counselors who bring texters from a hot moment to a cool calm through empathy and active listening.
- Volunteer Crisis Counselors empower each texter to use their own strengths and coping strategies such as playing video games or listening to music.
- Crisis Text Line serves both English and Spanish-speaking texters as the organization is bilingual and multicultural.
