Bob Prince described the action to fans of all ages for 28 years from 1948-1975. Nicknamed "The Gunner," many items and photos from the Hall-of-Fame broadcaster are on display here.
Signed in 1891 after playing four seasons with Philadelphia, Bierbauer was "pirated" away from the Athletics. Pittsburgh kept the player and the nickname "Pirates" from that point on.

1903 jersey
The uniform design of the three-time National League Champion Pirates featured a red, white and blue color scheme.
1925 jersey
The uniform of the World Champion Pirates was one of the most colorful designs of the 1920s and featured the National League’s “Golden Jubilee” patch over the left breast.
1937 jersey
The name “Pirates” was placed across the front of the jersey for the first time in an arc of fancy red and blue letters.
Bobby Bonilla batting gloves
The switch-hitting power hitter played with the Pirates from 1986-1991 and captured three Silver Slugger awards.
Fred Clarke bat
The Hall of Fame outfielder played 15 seasons with the Pirates and his 1,638 hits rank 10th on the club’s all-time list.
Dock Ellis spikes
RHP won 96 games in his nine seasons with the Pirates and threw the fourth no-hitter in team history on June 12, 1970 (game 1).
