This 99-mph fastball from Yu Darvish played pinball with the batter, the catcher and the home-plate umpire

The Cubs beat the Marlins on Monday night, 7-2, at Marlins Park -- but one pitch in particular from Cubs right-hander Yu Darvish had the internet abuzz ... and with good reason.

Darvish pitched into the sixth inning and ultimately took home his first victory of the season, but he had some command issues, walking four and hitting Lewis Brinson with a 99-mph fastball that didn't just hit Brinson.

No, dear reader, it ricocheted off Brinson, catching both Cubs catcher Willson Contreras and home-plate umpire Brian O'Nora. The whole sequence made a sound that is oddly captivating:

If Darvish was playing a pinball machine, he just hit some sort of jackpot, I'd say.

After the game, Darvish offered up an amazing quote about his outing, as reported by MLB.com's Christina De Nicola:

Oh, Yu.
