Anthony Rizzo got engaged with the beautiful Chicago skyline in the background

Anthony Rizzo and the Cubs received rings last November -- rings that were 108 years in the making. The first baseman and his teammates were all pretty happy about it:

Well, on Thursday, while the Cubs had a day off, Rizzo gave a ring to his girlfriend Emily Vakos. He looked just as, or even more, happy. It was an engagement ring. Anthony Rizzo is engaged!

The other half of Bryzzo was thrilled:

And the other other half of Bryzzo was also excited:

"You want to find somebody who you want to spend the rest of your life with and I'm lucky enough to have that," Rizzo told MLB.com's Carrie Muskat. "It feels good. It's exciting, really exciting."
"She was totally surprised. That's what I wanted," Rizzo said. He even planned a little something extra for the moment. Perhaps a little aerial display.
"I'm out there, I'm in my room and I heard ... fireworks going off," Dexter Fowler said. The Cub-turned-Cardinal was in town for a series against his former team. "I'm like, 'it's kind of early for fireworks.' I texted Riz later -- he told me he was proposing -- and I go, 'No way those fireworks were for you.' He goes, 'You know it.' I feel like I was a part of it."
Let's hope either "Go, Cubs, Go" or the "Family Matters" theme was playing as the moment unfolded.
