As former Padres James Shields and Ian Kennedy match up, recall their interaction from July

James Shields and Ian Kennedy are both natives of California and were teammates on the Padres in 2015. Saturday night, they squared off in an American League game with Shields' White Sox hosting Kennedy's Royals. Interestingly enough, the two matched up against each other on July 21 as well.
During that game, Shields was so excited to see his former teammate and fellow Californian that he wasn't going to let the chance for a reunion pass by.

So, as Shields and Kennedy face each other Saturday night, remember that, although they are competitors in the box score, the two are boys both within and outside the lines.
