Hours after Alex Meyer bought Brian Goodwin breakfast, Goodwin broke up his no-hitter

Alex Meyer never appeared in a Major League game for the Nationals, but Washington was his first professional home: The Nats drafted the righty in the first round of the 2011 Draft, before trading him to Minnesota in the winter of 2012 for Denard Span.
Meyer eventually found his way to the Angels, where he's become a solid starter, posting a 113 ERA+ so far this season. But while it's been years since he's been part of the Nationals organization, he's still got plenty of friends from his time there -- like Washington's other first-round pick from 2011, Brian Goodwin. So, with the Nats in town to take on the Angels Wednesday, Meyer decided to take his former Minor League teammate out for breakfast
Flash-forward to the game that night. Meyer is cruising, taking a no-hitter into the sixth -- when, with two outs, up walks Goodwin:

Just hours after being treated to a free meal, Goodwin repaid Meyer by spoiling his shot at history. As the righty told's Maria Guardado after the game: "I'll have to talk to him about that."
