Utley's no-look toss to first: Vin-credible!

There are impressive defensive plays, and then there's what Chase Utley pulled in the fourth inning of the Dodgers' 7-4 series-opening win over the Rockies at Chavez Ravine.
Utley initially bobbled a grounder hit in his direction by Rockies starter Tyler Chatwood, but then recovered with the type of improvisational expertise that stand-up comedians can only dream about.
Vin Scully described the play in beautifully awestruck fashion:

Thursday's contest is the opener of a four-game set between Colorado and Los Angeles, but it's also the final weekend of Scully's remarkable, unprecedented 67-year career behind the microphone for the Dodgers.
Thanks to Utley's dazzling defense, Scully's farewell weekend is off to a pretty strong start.
