A spot-on Kenta Maeda lookalike showed up and delighted the Dodgers -- and Maeda himself
Prior to the Dodgers' series opening 3-2 win over the Rays at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night, the team welcomed a special guest onto the field ... sort of:
Is that Kenta Maeda? He sure looks like the right-hander who has impressed in his first season in Los Angeles. That's him, right?
This is NOT Kenta...right? pic.twitter.com/rfr7IM5evg- Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) July 27, 2016
Seriously. Is it him?
Will the real Kenta please stand up? pic.twitter.com/3Vdx6o8VPo- Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) July 27, 2016
Naturally, everybody had a lot of fun with the not-real Maeda in the dugout prior to first pitch:
It's fitting that this gentleman bearing a strong resemblance to the real Maeda would show up on Japan Night, a theme night that featured authentic Kenta posing for a photo with pop star Exile Atsushi:

This is by no means the first instance of a doppelganger showing up at a ballpark this season ... though this one definitely is a cut above the rest!
