Juan Pierre shares the real backstory behind his famous Jay-Z shoutout
Juan Pierre is a memorable baseball figure for a slew of different reasons. Most importantly, he had a stellar 14-year big league career in which he won the 2003 World Series with the Marlins, tallied more than 2,200 hits and swiped 614 bases, good for 18th all-time in baseball history.
Despite all of these accomplishments, his crowning moment probably came in 2006 when Jay-Z referenced Pierre by name in a verse on Beyonce's song "Deja Vu."
