Kenley Jansen did an impression of Clayton Kershaw's hesitation to get a strikeout

The late Charles Caleb Colton once declared, "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." In the ninth inning of Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Pirates, Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen imitated teammate Clayton Kershaw's hesitation delivery to freeze Sean Rodríguez for a strikeout.

As the best pitcher of his generation, Kershaw certainly didn't need flattery to solidify his reputation around the game. Similarly, as one of the best closers in baseball, Jansen didn't need to channel Kershaw to be effective.
Regardless of the necessity of Jansen's imitation of his teammate, the move effectively put Rodriguez off balance and, more importantly, marked another fun moment in a remarkably fun season in Los Angeles.
