Kevin Pillar reeled in his first unreal catch of the season -- at the expense of Manny Machado

Blue Jays center fielder Kevin Pillar is a known commodity. That is to say, he's known for ending the flight paths of baseballs well before those baseballs probably think their journey is over (were they sentient, of course). Pillar's first classically Pillar play of the young season occurred on Wednesday night in Toronto's 3-1 loss to the Orioles in Baltimore with Manny Machado (himself no stranger to the absurd) at the plate. Machado crushed a J.A. Happ offering deep to center field, but -- wouldn't you know it -- there's that Pillar guy again, doing what he does:
Per Statcast™, Pillar's grab came at the expense of a ball hit 111.1 mph off the bat of Machado -- a hit 86 percent of the time ... but not this time. Oh, and just for good measure, Pillar also nabbed Welington Castillo to end the fourth inning after Castillo had thoughts of stretching a single into a double:
It might be time to acknowledge that there's nothing that man can't do out there.
