Kyle Lohse's bat sticks to his batting gloves, enjoys free ride to first base, because pine tar
Brewers pitcher Kyle Lohse learned the hard way that there can be too much of a good thing.
Early in Wednesday's contest with the Phillies, Lohse laid down a sacrifice bunt to move outfielder Logan Schaefer into scoring position. As the right-hander ran toward first base, he found that the pine tar he'd previously applied prevented him from dropping his bat.
We'd like to think that somewhere George Brett is watching this clip and chuckling to himself.
