Enjoy these old photos of Michael Jordan looking really cool at Spring Training

For one magical Spring Training in 1994, NBA superstar Michael Jordan left the hardwood and descended upon White Sox camp in Sarasota, Fla. Having already won three championships with the Bulls, Jordan decided to follow through on a wish by his late father to play baseball. His Airness, a 31-year-old rookie at the time, expressed his excitement like any ballplayer might at the dawn of a new season.
"All of a sudden I felt like a kid again."
Because it's Jordan's birthday today (he turns 54) and the outset of Spring Training, we wanted to look back at some photos of him embarking on his new, albeit short-lived, career. Come reminisce with us.

Jordan went on to play 127 games for the Double-A Birmingham Barons, hitting .202 with three homers, 51 RBIs and 30 steals. He then returned to basketball to win three more titles. Manager Terry Francona thought, if given a few more seasons, Jordan could've made the big leagues. With the ability to do this in front of a sold-out Wrigley Field crowd, we'd be hard-pressed to doubt him:

Happy birthday, M.J.
