Rhys Hoskins blasted two homers while wearing his trusty Mickey Mouse socks
The Phillies beat the Nats on Monday night, 4-3, at Citizens Bank Park. Home runs provided all the offense the Phillies would need on the night, and each came with a bit of flair. Odubel Herrera got things going in the fourth with a two-run blast complete with a gorgeous bat flip, before Rhys Hoskins swatted two of his own.
Hoskins' secret? His trusty Mickey Mouse socks, which he was wearing for his solo shot in the fifth against Anibal Sanchez and the moonshot he hit in the eighth facing Justin Miller:
What's the secret to the Phillies success? As Rhys Hoskins says, it's the Mickey Mouse socks. Duh. pic.twitter.com/HTcN2fx0Ud— Michael Clair (@michaelsclair) April 9, 2019
Major style points, Rhys.
Adrian Garro joined MLB.com in 2016. Throughout his travels, both Bartolo Colon and Vin Scully have placed their hands on his shoulders. Not at the same time, though. That'd be amazing.
