Let's welcome Robinson Cano back to NYC with this video of Yankees fans booing him

(Chesterton, Eric)

When Robinson Cano joins the Mets -- as he's reportedly set to do Monday according to MLB.com's Jon Morosi -- it will not be his first time playing his home games in New York City. He spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Yankees and even won a World Series before signing with the Mariners in 2013.
Cano returned to NYC for the first time the following season and Yankees fans were waiting to welcome him back with plenty of hearty boos. To Cano's face, however, there didn't seem to be any bad feelings at all:

Perhaps the ease with which those New York boos turned to smiles and handshakes will make Cano more comfortable returning as a Met. One thing is for sure, though: New Yorkers (particularly Mets fans) won't be booing Cano -- either his face or a cardboard image -- anytime soon.
