No stranger to speed, Dee Gordon took a spin around Marlins Park in an actual race car

Dee Gordon is fast. One of the fastest players in MLB, actually -- he didn't steal 30 bases in 79 games during the 2016 season by being slow, you know? But there's speed on the basepaths, and then there's driving around Marlins Park in an actual race car:

The ballpark hosted the Race of Champions on Saturday and transformed itself into a race track.

Before the official competition got started, Gordon got to suit up and go for a ride around the track with Indy Car driver Ryan Hunter-Reay.

"He said he was going slow -- I don't believe him," Gordon said after the ride.
Well, at least now he knows how Marlins fans feel when they watch him steal second like it's no big deal.
