Francisco Liriano took matters into his own hands, crushed homer off King Felix

Although he's been slowed by injuries this season, Félix Hernández is one of the best pitchers of his generation. He's won a Cy Young, was elected to five straight All-Star Games from 2011-15 and has the third most career strikeouts among active pitchers with 2,197. He's also just 30 years old.
Francisco Liriano, opposing pitcher to King Felix in Tuesday's Mariners-Pirates game, probably knew most of these things -- but he didn't care.

Statcast™ estimated the dinger at 416 feet with an exit velocity of 105.6 mph -- the third-longest pitcher homer this year and the first King Felix has ever given up to a fellow hurler. It's also the second career homer for Liriano -- who was hitting .282 with four RBIs headed into the contest. Strangely enough, Hernandez famously hit his only big league homer (a grand slam) off of Johan Santana -- former teammate of Liriano. So, that one was for Johan! Maybe.
