Watch Shohei Ohtani deliver his very first hit and RBI in an Angels uniform

On Saturday, Shohei Ohtani  made his Angels Spring Training debut on the mound, giving up two runs in 1 1/3 innings while also flashing a great splitter on his first strikeout. Monday, the two-way sensation made his debut at the plate, batting second in the Angels lineup and playing DH against the Padres.
So of course, in his first trip to the plate, the 23-year-old, who hit .332 in Japan in 2017 ... drew a walk on six pitches:

Ohtani also walked in his second at-bat, something we could've seen coming: The slugger drew a walk in over 10 percent of his plate appearances during his five-year career with the Nippon Ham Fighters. And then, in his third and final AB of the afternoon, SUCCESS!

Shohei Ohtani is now batting 1.000 in a big league uniform.
