Welcome to The Grill: Here's why it's time for the Angels to release Mike Trout

Welcome to The Grill, Cespedes Family BBQ's very own test kitchen, where the only things on the menu are sizzling hot baseball takes. If you're looking for the lukewarm takes traditionally served elsewhere, you've come to the wrong place. Here at The Grill, we serve our takes so blazing you should have to sign a waiver.
Where better to kick off our new show than the issue of Mike Trout and his future with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?
Trout has had yet another stupendous season in Anaheim, bookending his midseason DL stint with the traditionally ridiculous MVP-level performance we've come to expect -- 1.203 OPS before his thumb injury, and a .977 OPS since returning. However, the media still bandies his name about in trade talks. They couldn't be more wrong.
Here at The Grill, there's only one logical answer to the Trout question. Check out the clip above to hear more.
