The 2023 MLB Draft Combine will feature top high school and college baseball prospects who are eligible for the 2023 MLB Draft. The Combine will be held June 20-25 at Chase Field in Phoenix, and players will have the opportunity to participate in a series of medical and performance assessments as well as educational programming designed to prepare them for a career in professional baseball.

As part of the Combine experience, top high school players eligible for the 2023 MLB Draft will be selected to participate in a tournament featuring eight games, including “bronze medal” and “gold medal” games, as well as PDP Performance Assessments and a pro-style showcase workout.

The Combine will give players an opportunity to boost their draft stock, while giving MLB Clubs a new opportunity to evaluate these players in the weeks leading up to the Draft. Additionally, the MLB Draft Combine will be an integral part of the identification and development process for future USA Baseball national teams.

How are players selected for the MLB Draft Combine?

The Combine is invitation only. Players are selected by a committee of MLB, USA Baseball and MLB Club scouting executives, incorporating feedback from all 30 MLB Clubs. Selected players will be invited by MLB this spring.

What is the cost to attend the MLB Draft Combine?

There is no cost. Participation is provided at no cost to the athlete. Travel, housing and meals will be provided.

Will participation affect my NCAA eligibility?

No; MLB and USA Baseball are in communication with the NCAA to ensure athlete eligibility requirements are met overall.

If my son attends the Combine, is he guaranteed to be drafted or invited to a national team team in the future?

No. The Combine will be run solely for the identification and evaluation of prospective athletes by MLB and USA Baseball scouts, but participation provides no future guarantees.

Do I receive anything after participating in the Combine?

After an event, all participants will receive a customized Combine Report containing information related to your personalized assessments.

If I am a college player invited to the Combine, may I also participate in the tournament?

No, as the tournament is a high school invitational.
