The Cardinals are proud to support the brave men and women of our nation's military. We recognize the immense commitment it takes to serve, and we honor the resilience and strength shown by service members and their families. The team provides support and recognition through a variety of initiatives.

Veterans Day Grants

Each year, in honor of Veterans Day, Cardinals Care provides grants to support local non-profit organizations that serve veterans and active military members.

Hosted by the VA St. Louis Center for Development and Civic Engagement and the Women's Veterans Program, the 11th Annual Women Warriors Baby Shower provided expectant mothers with baby swings, tummy time mats, bath seats and Cardinals bears

Service Projects in Support of Military & Veterans

The Cardinals and Cardinals Care annually engage with partners on service projects to support active military and veterans. These efforts are in partnership with QuikTrip.

2025 Cardinals & Cardinals Care Service Project

The Cardinals and Cardinals Care partnered with the St. Louis Area Foodbank to provide over 5,400 spaghetti meals to military members, veterans and their families facing food insecurity in the region. The 1,300 meal kits included a handwritten thank you note and were assembled by a mix of Cardinals coaches, players, Broadcasters and the Cardinals Family members.

The Cardinals and Cardinals Care partnered with the American Red Cross Missouri & Arkansas Region to source toiletries that Cardinals players, coaches and the Cardinals Family packaged to be delivered to military members at Scott Air Force Base to thank them for their service to our country.

In honor of the 9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance, the St. Louis Cardinals front office partnered with QuikTrip and Window Nation to help pack over 200,000 meals to be donated to the St. Louis Area Foodbank to support our local community, as part of a larger effort organized by 9/11 Day to pack 9 million meals across the US to help those facing food insecurity nationwide.

Brendan Donovan was selected as a finalist for the 2024 Bob Feller Act of Valor Award, a recognition reserved for MLB players who demonstrate service, commitment, and support of military servicemen and women. Donovan has been a strong supporter of military and veteran related programs, collaborated with the Red, White and Blue Foundation to raise funds and took an active role in promoting the Veterans Community Project.

In June, the Cardinals hosted the 66th annual St. Louis Cardinal Company induction ceremony at Busch Stadium. For 66 years, Cardinal Companies have distinguished themselves in recruit training, graduating with distinct honors.
