Globe Life Park, home of the Texas Rangers since 1994, combines a thoroughly Texas approach with a retro ballpark design that puts fans right near the action. The design incorporates elements of classic stadiums of old - like right field's covered home run porch that emulates old Tiger Stadium.
Of course, Globe Life also has features that are all its own, like the massive façade that provides a backdrop in center field - and gives the park away as the setting of Disney's The Rookie.
- The Boomstick: The foot-long frank that epitomizes maximum hot dog indulgence in most locales doesn't cut it in Texas. The Boomstick is TWO feet long and weighs in at a full pound, not even counting the pile of chili, cheese and onions.
