Sometimes, subtlety is overrated.
Great American Ball Park, opened in 2003, leaves no doubts about its ambitions. You're intrigued, simply by hearing the name. You want to verify that such a name is justified.
Power Stacks: When the club needs some energy from the fans, two power stacks located in right field get to work. Whether it's a strikeout by a pitcher, a home run by a batter, or a Reds win, the stacks will blow fire to celebrate the moment. Additionally, there are 14 baseball bats atop the stacks in homage to Pete Rose's uniform number.
The arcade: Sitting through all nine innings of a baseball game can sometimes make a young fan restless. Have no worries, GAPB features an impressive arcade at the Machine Room Grille in left field. It isn't only the Reds who are playing for high stakes - fans win e-tickets that can be redeemed for prizes.
The Skyline Chili Cheese Coney: Do you want to combine a hot dog with chili and a ridiculous amount of cheddar cheese? Of course you do. This is one of the most popular items at Great American Ball Park, even if it's guaranteed to get on your shirt at some point.
