Watch Aaron Altherr turn bobbled ball into double play

The Mets fell to the Phillies 7-1 on Sunday. And while the Phillies racked up 12 hits, there was a diamond gem that occurred in the outfield courtesy of Aaron Altherr.
The defensive play looks like a happy accident, but it resulted in a double play.
In the bottom of the seventh, the outfielder bobbled a popup off the bat of Lucas Duda in center field. The ball then rolled off Altherr's shoulders and into his glove for the catch.
Jay Bruce was heading toward second base with the anticipation of Altherr not making the play -- and that's when he was thrown out at first.

Kudos to Altherr on the heads-up play that could have gone terribly wrong.
