AL MVP runner-up Aaron Judge congratulated Jose Altuve on his victory with a perfect tweet

On Thursday, José Altuve's storybook 2017 season got even sweeter when he was named the American League MVP. When the news was announced, he was overcome with emotion:

The runner-up to Altuve's top spot in the Baseball Writers' Association of America voting results was Aaron Judge, and the Yankees' Rookie of the Year was quick to hit social media to extend his congratulations to Altuve -- who he faced in a hard-fought, seven-game ALCS last month:

And that was just the beginning of praise Judge heaped on the new AL MVP:
