Aaron Judge would let fellow right fielder Bryce Harper play 'wherever he wants' if he joined the Yankees

It's been a stressful offseason for Yankees fans. For most fanbases, adding a whole bunch of talented players such as James Paxton, DJ LeMahieu, Adam Ottavino, and the returning Zach Britton would suffice as a successful round of hot stove-ing. But for most fans of the 27-time world champions, ambitions of reeling in the biggest fish on the free agent market -- Bryce Harper and/or Manny Machado -- remain.
And it's not just the fans who would love to see another star in pinstripes in 2019 -- Yankees star Aaron Judge seems intrigued by the possibility of adding one of the two superstars to his squads, especially Harper. "Anytime you can add an MVP to a team, it's going to make them better," Judge said. But Judge went even farther when asked who would play right field if Bryce did agree to come to the Bronx: "Wherever he wants to play, we'll make it work."

Sound familiar? Well, for one, it was just last offseason that the Yankees added MVP Giancarlo Stanton to an already-crowded outfield, necessitating somewhat of a rotation between the outfield and DH for Stanton and Judge. But it was also 15 years ago that the Yankees acquired Alex Rodriguez from the Rangers when they already had a fairly popular fellow at shortstop named Derek Jeter.

In that scenario, A-Rod did agree to slide over to third base and let the Captain remain at his natural position. This is somewhat of a reverse situation, as Judge is already on the team, but appears willing to move anywhere if Harper is interested in joining the Yankees. It's nice that Judge appears to be a little more accommodating to his potential future teammate's positional needs. It's clear that players like Judge and Stanton would happily welcome any other players that enjoy hitting baseballs over fences -- they can figure out the rest later.
