Blake Snell doesn't think Odell Beckham Jr.'s jokes are funny
Earlier this season, we were introduced to an unlikely cross-sport friendship when NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. showed up to a Rays-Angels game in a Blake Snell jersey and took an impressive round of batting practice. Snell met Beckham Jr. through former Rays Minor League pitcher Stone Speer, and the two have since become good friends. Recently, Beckham Jr. posted an image on Instagram with a joke about how Snell looks like a certain character from Hey Arnold!:
Now one of the premier talents in his sport, Snell made his first All-Star Game this season after posting a 2.27 ERA in 20 starts for the Rays in the first half. We wanted to give the young left-hander a chance to respond to the Pro Bowl wide receiver's amusing comparison.
Check out the video at the top of the page to hear Snell's thoughts.
Jake Mintz is the louder half of the Cespedes Family BBQ. Despite a torn UCL in his right elbow, he still finds a way to tweet excessively during baseball games.
Jordan Shusterman is one half of Cespedes Family BBQ. He enjoys overpaying for Mike Trout in fantasy baseball leagues and convincing the masses that Mike Zunino is good.
