Trayce Thompson has joined the Athletics and will reportedly live with his brother, Klay

On Thursday, the A's claimed Trayce Thompson off waivers from the Yankees -- who had claimed him from the Dodgers on Tuesday -- making possible a reunion of the Thompson brothers.
Trayce is the younger brother of Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Klay Thompson. Since Klay went to play college basketball at Washington State University in 2008, the two have never played in the same city.
A's manager Bob Melvin told MLB.com's Jane Lee that both Trayce and Klay are likely excited to be so close to each other. "I talked to [Trayce], and he's really excited," he said. "I know Klay a little bit, and I'm sure he's pretty happy about this, too."
In addition to all the warm and fuzziness of the sibling reunion, Klay will be able to cheer on his favorite team without any hesitation.

Conversely, as the Warriors prepare for another playoff run, look out for Trayce potentially supporting his older brother. After all, Oracle Arena and the Oakland Coliseum are right next door to each other.
At the very least, Trayce reportedly won't struggle to find a place to live -- Klay has him covered:

That's what brothers are for.
