Watch Bryce Harper seamlessly transition from possible heel to definite hero in seconds

Bryce Harper is a villain. During Game 3 of the NLDS, Harper caught a fly ball off the bat of Yasmani Grandal for the third out of the fourth inning. You're going to want to sit down and brace yourself for what the 23-year-old superstar did next. He took that baseball and held it out to very excited fans sitting in the front row, only to pull it back. And these weren't just any fans, they were Nationals fans proudly cheering on Harper's team while in enemy territory!
Can you believe that? What a ... wait, hold on. Apparently there's more to this story. We're going to need to try this all again.
Bryce Harper is a hero. He jogged down the first-base line and immediately proceeded to give the ball to an adorable little fan.

The playoffs may be keeping Harper busy, but not so busy that he doesn't have a moment to make someone's day.
Maybe Bryce Harper will find another fan to make smile as the Nationals go for the series win over the Dodgers. Be sure to tune in for Game 4 of the NLDS on Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET on FS1.
