The undisputed second best fictional president in the history of Hollywood, Martin Sheen's Josiah Bartlet, threw out a first pitch at Camden Yards in the Season 5 finale of NBC's Emmy Award-winning political drama, The West Wing.
President Bartlet had previously served as governor of his home state, New Hampshire, which left him with a Boston sports allegiance. And most of his staff were transplants as well, rooting for the Mets, Yankees and Dodgers, respectively. But, the O's had a presence in the show, particularly when White House Communications Director Toby Ziegler -- a Brooklyn native and diehard Yankees fan -- discovered that his ex-wife was dating an Orioles executive:


In Season 1, episode six of the HBO political sitcom "Veep," Julia Louis-Dreyfuss' Vice President Selina Meyer has to attend a healthy-eating event at the home of the Orioles and finds herself a little confused over how many starting pitchers a team carries.
"You don't have multiple starting pitchers. There's one pitcher's mound. You see one mound or three mounds? That's how you play baseball."
That confusion made her life a little difficult when she met Hall of Famer Jim Palmer and then Orioles Tommy Hunter and (2015 NL Cy Young Award winner) Jake Arrieta. Even when his beard was in its infancy, Arrieta had a face made for TV:
