Captain Obvious didn't make a catch on a foul ball and wanted everyone to know it

We always appreciate the effort given by fans who not only look like they're having a good time, but dress the part as well. Some dress (and act) as umpires and others sport a hat for good luck. On Sunday during the Nationals-Mets game, a fan dressed as a noticeable character -- a very noticeable character.
Travis d'Arnaud smacked a line drive off Erick Fedde's offering down the left side of the field and it bounced into the stands. There was a fan dressed as Captain Obvious who attempted to make the play to snag the ball, but he was unsuccessful. And that's OK because he realized it was out of his reach -- even displaying a sign to acknowledge it.

He may not have made the catch, but the display of enthusiasm created an infectious smile.
Thanks, Captain Obvious.
