Watch Clayton Kershaw get Jesus Aguilar to swing at a curveball bounced well in front of the plate

Entering Friday night's 2-1 win against the Brewers, batters were hitting just .206/.262/.304 against Clayton Kershaw in his career. Your odds couldn't be much worse if you just decided to close your eyes, swing and hope for the best. 
Jesús Aguilar may have put that to the test. On a 1-2 count in the bottom of the fourth inning, Kershaw unloaded the vaunted curveball that Vin Scully once called "Public Enemy No. 1." Despite bouncing far in front of the plate, Aguilar couldn't help but swing at a pitch that was journeying to the center of the earth: 

It was one of three strikeouts (and four in the game) Aguilar had against Kershaw, but he shouldn't feel bad. After all, the Dodgers ace struck out 14 Brewers, becoming the youngest player to ever record 2,000 strikeouts in a career when he K'd Jonathan Villar in the second inning: 

Aguilar wasn't the only Brewer to go down on strikes, though. The Brewers struck out a whopping 26 times in the 12-inning game. That tied the record for the most strikeouts by a team in a single game. Only difference: the other games were a lot longer. 

The Dodgers tied an MLB record by striking out 26 batters in a game. They did it in 12 innings. Other three all took 17+ innings.

Though strikeouts are up around the league, maybe that's simply what happens when going up against a pitcher like Kershaw.
