Cole Hamels and his wife donated their $10 million mansion to charity

It's the time of year when many people look for a way to give back, in whatever way possible. Suffice it to say, Cole Hamels and his wife, Heidi, have done more than most: They're donating an entire house. Yes, really. 
The two began construction on a 32,000 foot mansion in Missouri, near where Heidi is from, but after Hamels was traded to the Rangers the couple bought a home in the Dallas/Fort-Worth area and never moved into the mansion.

After reportedly looking to sell the home for $9.75 million this summer, they changed their minds. Instead of selling the house, they have donated it to Camp Barnabas, a nonprofit charity that provides help and camps to those with special needs and their siblings.
"Seeing the faces, hearing the laughter, reading the stories of the kids they serve; there is truly nothing like it," said Hamels in a release from The Hamels Foundation. "Barnabas makes dreams come true, and we felt called to help them in a big way."
Even with this gift -- the largest in the organization's history -- it's not the only thing on Cole's mind, though. That's because a little movie known as "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" came out this weekend.
