Watch Corey Kluber strike out eight Cubs through three innings in one glorious GIF
If you wanted to see some World Series history, Corey Kluber made sure you didn't have to wait very long. In the Indians' 6-0 win in Game 1 on Tuesday, the righty became the first pitcher ever to strike out eight batters over the first three innings of a Fall Classic start -- a record previously held by Bob Gibson, Randy Johnson and Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez. Kluber also set a team record for strikeouts in a World Series game ... again, in just three innings.
But let's say you somehow missed the game. Maybe you were camping in the mountains. Maybe you and your Internet connection were suddenly swallowed by Iggy Iguana. Not to fear: We've got all of the history-making goodness, right in one handy GIF.
You better tune in to Game 2 on Wednesday (7 p.m. ET game time on FOX, 6 p.m. ET pregame show on FS1) -- you know, just to make sure you don't miss any more baseball history.
