Corey Kluber shaved Tuesday for the first time since Christmas

It may be hard to remember at this point, but Indians pitcher Corey Kluber was once clean-shaven. That's right. There was a time Kluber didn't have a beard. Here he is prior to the 2017 season:

But, thanks to a bet with his wife, Amanda, Kluber hasn't shaved since around Christmas. According to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian, Amanda challenged him to see if he could go an entire season without shaving. Apparently, she had come to regret issuing the challenge because Kluber shaved Tuesday ... and gave the world an update halfway through the process:

When something as meaningful one day as the Klubers' beard challenge can be taken away the next, it makes you think about the fleeting nature of life and all we hold dear. At the end of the day, aren't we all essentially like Kluber's beard?
