Brandon McCarthy has very strong opinions on the proper frosting-to-cake ratio for cupcakes
Pitcher Brandon McCarthy, putting together a solid spring for the Dodgers after missing most of the last two seasons with injuries, has a very strong take on the cupcake industry and the intolerable indulgences therein:
the entire cake and cupcake world is engaging in the despicable act of overfrosting and I'd like it to stop. They're ruining my treats.

After tweeting out that salvo against Big Cupcake earlier this month, McCarthy went on 12News in Arizona Sunday to discuss the rampant "overfrosting" in the industry and to demonstrate how a person should properly consume a cupcake:
He described his ideal frosting-to-cake ratio: "A tiny layer at the top, just enough that you're aware the frosting is there."
And those who prefer a towering head of frosting atop their cupcake: "Deranged people," McCarthy said.
