Watch the El Paso Chihuahuas score a run on the wildest play you may ever see

(Clair, Michael)

Errors are fun. Players oversliding bases is fun. Rundowns are fun. But all in one play? That's a dream for a baseball fan, but like adding cheese puffs to your ice cream sundae, it's sure to give you indigestion.
The El Paso Chihuahuas, the Triple-A affiliate for the Padres, put that to the test on Friday night. In the bottom of the sixth, Rocky Gale hit a popup to shallow left field. Three players converged and no one could scoop it up.
Quickly grabbing it on the bounce, Salt Lake Bees shortstop Nolan Fontana grabbed the ball and threw to third, sure to get Dusty Coleman. Except, Coleman avoided the tag.
Play over? Not quite. Coleman overslid third. Instead of diving back, he raced for home and the chase was on. It appeared to be a certain out except ... whoops, Jefry Marte overthrew the catcher.
Yeah, that's a lot of words to describe sheer wonder. Take a look at the play below. And then watch it again. And again. And again. It's a baseball mixtape of fun.
