In just his 9th appearance in RF, Indians' Michael Martinez unleashed a laser throw to home plate

Since he started his career in 2011, Michael Martinez has played just 64 games in the outfield (nine of those in right field). That ninth appearance in RF came during the first game of the White Sox-Indians doubleheader on Monday -- his seventh overall start at the position.
Ten games at a position in six years is not a lot. How can Martinez be expected to play well? What's the point in putting him out there? Are the Indians trying to embarrass their own players? Can we ---

The right fielder, quite expertly, caught Carlos Sanchez's liner and then doubled off Melky Cabrera with a Statcast™ estimated 95.3 mph, 256.4-foot throw. That's better than this Yoenis Cespedesrocket. That's faster than Yasiel Puig's mammoth shotput from Coors Field.'s Cody Stavenhagen caught up with Terry Francona about the throw after the game.
"That was a really good play," the Indians manager said. "That was a heck of a throw, and it just kind of turned a terrible situation into two out, first and second."
Cleveland lost, 7-6, but we're guessing Martinez will definitely be seeing some more time in right field this season.
