Kevin Kiermaier planned on covering himself in petroleum gel to battle the cold weather

With the Rays set to take on the Yankees in a rainy, windy and cold Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, Tampa Bay outfielder Kevin Kiermaier needed to come up with a way to stay warm. Enter: petroleum jelly. 

That's right: Where hoodies, balaclavas and infinity scarves fail, Vaseline begins. Unfortunately, while the plan to go slippery was a good one, Kiermaier forgot to apply it.
