Lucas Giolito is enjoying Major League catering, wanted to 'mix in a knock' off Matt Harvey

Unless you've been hiding in a nuclear bunker for the last 48 hours, you've probably heard a little bit about MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospectLucas Giolito. After a stellar first half with Double-A Harrisburg, Giolito was called up to start in place of the injured Stephen Strasburg on Tuesday against the Mets. While his Major League debut was shortened by a rain delay, Giolito still managed to impress, allowing only one hit over four scoreless innings. For a guy whose last start was in Portland, Maine, in front of 3,000 people, Giolito seemed awfully comfortable pitching in the nation's capital in front of 30,000.
One can only imagine what goes through any player's mind heading into his big league debut. For the 21-year-old right-hander, this introduction to the national audience has been eagerly anticipated since he was taken 16th overall in the 2012 Draft and started skyrocketing up prospect lists.
